When company President, Mike Toursal, saw -- and rode -- his first motorcycle, a CMG, it turned into an event that started a lifelong love of steel and chrome. ---This is a true biker's story...

Traveling around the U.S., selling motorcycle gear out of a van, his massive selections and top quality women’s and men’s motorcycle leathers made Mike's Eagle Leather sales a popular attraction at big events like Daytona and Sturgis. He was soon following riders all over the country. As bikers wanted more, Mike settled Eagle Leather in Tacoma, and opened a series of stores dedicated to his passion of "Gear for the Ride."

Our first store was 1,500 square feet. It was quickly moved into a larger store of 3,000 square feet, which was still not enough. An upgrade to 9,000 square feet was still not enough as bikers made Eagle Leather a destination. The growing selection and the new Eagle Leather brands kept them coming back.

In 2007 we moved into our current location, on the corner of Highway 512 and South Tacoma Way in Lakewood. Just outside Joint-Base Lewis McChord

In 2012, Mike took the next big entrepreneurial step and opened a second 20,000 square-foot location in Auburn, nearly as big as the foundation store in Lakewood. However, it turned out that the Auburn store was too close to Eagle Leather's foundation store in Lakewood and it was closed to seek better opportunities in another location.
